Safety

Tanzania is safe to visit according to the latest reports.
In fact, it's regarded as one of the safest African countries , both for locals and tourists. According to the 2019 Global Peace Index, Tanzania is the seventh safest country in Africa.
You driver/guide will advise you while visiting cities or markets. Simple safety precautions to be adopted like any big city in the world.

Malaria in Tanzania

Tanzania is considered at risk for malaria.

You cannot be vaccinated against malaria, however there are antimalarial tablets (atovaquone/proguanil OR doxycycline OR mefloquine is usually advised).
Check with your doctor or nurse about suitable antimalarial tablets.

Malaria precautions  are essential.  Avoid mosquito bites by covering up with clothing such as  long sleeves and long trousers especially after sunset, using insect  repellents on exposed skin and, when necessary, sleeping under a  mosquito net.
